The Oceanography Society (TOS) has just launched a survey to gather input on experiences with promotion and tenure. The goal of this project is to gain a deeper understanding of the formal and informal processes that underpin promotion and tenure systems, including perceptions of fairness, mentorship, flexibility, and overall well-being. Our goal is that the survey results will help TOS and other organizations better understand the issues faced by our community members and catalyze pathways to equity in promotion and tenure. All data collected in the survey will be de-identified and analyzed in aggregate.
